The New FLIR TG156 Imaging IR Thermometer
Last time we posted, it was about FLIRs new products. We can now reveal that FLIR has released a new entry level product, the FLIR TG165.
The FLIR TG165 Imaging IR Thermometer is bridging the gap between the single spot meter and thermal imaging cameras. It is based on a spot meter however includes an infrared sensor to give you the advantage of thermal imaging, allowing you to discover temperature issues you wouldn’t normally see whether they be electrical, mechanical or anything else for that matter. All this cleverness is bundled up in a very small, easy to use package which is extremely intuitive. The TG165 is easy to operate and understand, returning professional results with minimal training. What’s more, the TG165 has the added function (over a spot meter) of being able to save your data and images to a micro SD memory card allowing you create reports with your findings.
When it comes down to the technical stuff the FLIR TG165 performs well for its tiny size and small price. Included is a Lepton micro microbolometere with a resolution of 4,800 pixels (80x60), range of -25°C to 380°C and field of view of 50°x38.6°. The TG165 also has dual laser, a 2” TFT LCD display, 8GB Micro SD card and a battery life good for up to 8 hours. All of this in a package that is only 186mm tall and that will feel like a happy fit in your hand.
